The search for the business and community heroes of 2010 has started, with the launch of the D15 Chamber Business and Community Awards!

We’re encouraging all sized companies, voluntary groups, community associations and sports organisations to enter these awards and become the new business and community heroes of the year.

Our Chamber President, David Donnelly, launched the ‘call for entries’ with the support of several category sponsors and the main sponsors, the Dublin Airport Authority.

We’ve announced two new categories for 2010: the ‘Large Indigenous Company of the Year’ and the ‘Multinational Company of the Year’, we’re expecting another huge response, before the September 3rd deadline.

The Contribution to Community (by a business) is supported this year by the Blanchardstown Area Partnership; the Contribution to Community (by an individual) is supported by the Institute of Technology in Blanchardstown; the Retail Premises of the Year category is supported by Green Property Ltd;  the Customer Service Team of the Year is supported by A.I.B in Blanchardstown; the Environmental Award 2010 is supported by V.H.I Healthcare; LINC at the Institute of Technology in Blanchardstown are supporting the Start Up/New Business of the Year Award; IBM are supporting the Innovation in IT category; the SME/Sole Trader of the Year award is supported by FBD Hotels ; Bank of Ireland in Blanchardstown are supporting the Large Indigenous Company of the Year and the Blanchardstown and District Credit Union are sponsoring the D15 Chamber President’s Award.

There are no entry fees and application forms are available by clicking here.

The closing date for all categories is Friday, September 3rd 2010 and finalists will be announced mid-September. The awards ceremony and Gala Ball takes place at the Castleknock Hotel and County Club on Friday, October 8th.
